My dearest friend, EM (M143), gave me the opportunity to create the flyer for their recurring community event. I was given complete creative liberty, so I strived to capture the warm, comforting, and joyous feeling this event creates.
I began with a few thumbnail sketches to narrow down my composition. Using the Sketchbook app on my XP PEN Magic Drawing Pad, I digitally sketched the rough draft and began making my edits on new layers.
The tablecloth, salad plate, and eating utensils were hand painted in the Sketchbook app, then brought over to Affinity to add alongside the text and music note background to complete the flyer.
